If
fitting between walls or cabinets use the tape measure to determine
if the countertop is the proper size to fit the opening. |
|
*NOTE:
It is recommended that you provide 1/16" of clearance between
the counter top and the wall to make installation easier. |
2.
|
| After
the top has been fitted to the opening check the gap between
the countertop and the wall. If it is less than
1/8" you can caulk it. If it greater than 1/8"
you can proceed to step #3. |
| |
|
| 3.
|
Go
to the point of the widest gap, using the compass set the metal
leg against the wall and the leg with pencil in it so it just
puts a mark on the edge of the top closest to the wall.
Now holding the metal leg of the compass against the wall, draw
a line down the entire countertop. |
|
*NOTE:
If the maximum gap was greater than 3/8" you must set the
compass for 3/8" regardless, as there is only 3/8"
of material provided for scribing. |
4.
|
| Using
the belt sander remove the excess material up to the edge
of the pencil line. |
| |
|
5.
|
| Use
the framing square or sink template to lay out the sink
opening. Use the 5/8" spade bit to start
the opening and finish cutting with the saber saw. |
| |
|
| 6.
|
Secure
to cabinets from underneath cabinet corner blocks with screws.
|
|
*NOTE: Make
sure the screws are not long enough to go through the top. |
